  1. Clean the exterior of your engine

Cleaning the external engine of a car is as important as cleaning the internal engine. If it is not cleaned properly, even the tiny debris in the wrong location can damage your engine. For example, when is checking your brake fluid, some grease may leak. Because of this, may have brake damage. Therefore, be sure to check the brake fluid level at least once a month.

  1. Check the drive belt

Your engine generates power to run other parts and accessories, including the power required to run your vehicle. The drive belt transfers power from the pillow or crankshaft to the car’s alternator, air-conditioning compressor, power steering pump, air pump, water pump and any other equipment that relies on mechanical power. Modern cars use a single belt, also called a serpentine belt, which connects and rotates from the crankshaft pulley. Since these belts are usually made of rubber or other polymers, they will wear out a lot even if it is used normally. Therefore, it is very important to check these belts regularly for visible cracks or integrity changes. You need to observe the integrity of the snake belt or V-belt and its timing belt, unless your engine is chain driven.
