How to become a better blogger? As a new blogger i always ask myself this question. Here are few mistakes to avoid while thinking of starting a new blog.. What i discovered will surprise you!
I Started blogging back in 2011, how time fly’s right?!
I created two blogs. One for fashion and another of a general topic.
Both of them failed. You know why? because of this mistakes i’m sharing today.
I am sharing them with you in order to help you not repeat what i did wrong. By the way if you are interested in YouTube and vlogging here is my tips on How to Become a Successful YouTuber

Here is How to Become a Better Blogger Learning from my Mistakes:
1. Not having a clear vision!
I Started my first blog without having a very clear vision of where i wanted my blog to reach, it resulted in my blog failing big time due to the fact that i couldn’t follow up with my busy schedule and life in general.
When you are thinking of starting a new blog sit down and draft down your goals and plans and where you are expecting to see your blog in a short time from now.
Bottom line: You need a clear vision in order for your blog to reach far. Create one before starting.
2. Not Learning from other successful bloggers (blogging 101 tips)
Oh boy, this is a big one! I didn’t even do a single research on how to become a successful blogger. Can you believe that?!
Successful people learn from Successful people!
Before you even start your blog (if you are like me and you’ve already started your blog, there is hope since you are reading this post!) do a very deep research on blogging and learn as much as you can from other successful bloggers that have been there and done that!
Save yourself the pain of failing by learning from this successful bloggers!
Bottom line: Don’t be afraid to learn from other successful bloggers. All you need is to search.
3. Not Blogging for money (Yes! Had no clue of what that was!)
I think i knew about it but didn’t really know much about it.I placed ads as any blogger and left it there. I didnt track the performance of the posts, track the source of my traffic or even check which blogs where making money!
Blogging for money is something that i believe must come second in your list because no one want’s to visit a blog full of ads.

4. Not having a specific Niche
I Just started throwing Blog posts without having a specific niche. The results was me getting traffic that targeted different posts but yet my blog was not created for a specific audience.
Target a niche that you are passionate about.
Don’t follow the crowd! be you!
I didn’t know who, where and how i should target the audience. To become a better blogger you need to create a blog by having a specific Niche in mind in order to drive the right traffic!
Bottom line: Your blog niche is the power behind your posts!
5. Not having enough blogging ideas
Oh that’s for sure! When you don’t have a clear vision everything goes. You will soon end up being out of blogging ideas simply because you didnt have a strategy and plan about your blog posts.
Doing a good research on your niche will give you tons of blogging ideas for your next post!
Bottom line: To become a better blogger don’t sit down and wait for blogging ideas to come hit your head, (ouch!) get active in your niche and create what people are in need for and what you enjoy sharing!
6. Not blogging as a business but as a hobby
This is super duper me right there!
I just created the bog out of no business plan in mind. blogging as a business is one of the things you need to do in order for your blog to grow the rate that you want it to grow.
If you prefer to blog as a hobby, go for it.
But know that everything requires time and treating your blog as your business will help you be more put together.
I am working on scheduling posts in order to not be writing and publishing on the go, so learn how to treat it as a business!
Bottom line: Let your blog become your business and transform your hobby into your income!
7. Not connecting blogging and social media
Social Media is one of the power tools for blogging. If you are not using it to promote and engage with your audience, stop right now and create a facebook,instagram, pinterest and twitter account now!
This social media platforms can not only boost your SEO ranking but it can also drive traffic into your blog.
Don’t expect people to find your blog just like that. To become a better blogger you need to put your content out there in order for you to be foundable (is that a word?!)!
Okay, Bottom line: Create social media accounts for your blog and as your blog grows, share, engage and promote your content!
8. Not knowing how to blog on pinterest (Huge mistake right there!)
Pinterest is one of the greatest source of traffic for blogs from what i have experienced! Not knowing how to set up, use and promote your blog posts via pinterest is one of the greatest mistakes you could ever do!
A new blog goes though some seasons and we all know that in the early days it’s not that easy to get traffic to your blog until it gets out there.
If You want to grow your audience and get the right traffic, learn the basics of pinterest and impliment in into your blog.

Bottom line: Pinterest is a power tool that will transform your traffic, get to know it!
9. Not interested in learning how to make money by blog
You can be making money through your blog yet not interested in learning how to make money by blogging.
How is that possible? When you just do what others do without understanding of what actually happens when you do that.
Bottom line: Don’t just earn money by blogging, to become a better blogger be interested in learning how to extend your knowledge about your blogging income and how to increase it!
