Search and Follow few others that are in your niche so you can get relevant pins to show up on your feed

how to use pinterest to drive traffic to your blog? When you are a new pinner pinterest suggest pins to you, but that’s not enough in order to start getting the right pins into your feed. You need to do a search on some of the keywords of you niche and follow some of the boards that appear at the top.

At the same time you would like to follow some of the creators of that board because obviously they are interested in what you are also interested and by that way they will bring relevant pins towards your way!

Example: You are in the “how to sing” niche, do a search on some keywords like “how to sing for begginers” and click on “Boards”. Follow few of them and some of the people that are into that Keyword result!

Create your first Board called “Best of (insert your blog name)”

If you want to really answer the question how to use pinterest to drive traffic to your blog the you need to use the best resources you can get!

One of the best strategies/resources that i really liked when i started blogging was arranging my boards. It makes it so much easier to use with tailwind afterwards(I will talk more about it’s awesome feature)! Creating a board called “Best of _Your blog name here__” will help your know exactly where your blog posts are.

It’s so much better than spreading them to various boards you’ve created.

Create other boards with “searchable” names like “Blogging tips” & create few group boards later on etc.

The next thing you want to do after creating your first board that will be dedicated to your blog’s pins only is to create other relevant boards directed to your niche. I recommend to do a search on your niche and see what blog names are  recurring. That’s some of the name you want to use.

Example: If you are in the hair industry you will do a search on the word “hair” then you will see various boards suggestion like “hair styles”, ” hair tips” and so on. Create boards that naturally make sense and fits to the topic of interest.

There you will be placing various pins you’ve come across from other pinners along with yours to mix things up! This is how to use pinterest to drive traffic to your blog!

Join other people’s group boards by sending invitations

A very powerful feature of pinterest is the excistance of Group Boards! I just love them. What is a group board you might ask. It’s simply a pinterest board with many contributors.

That means the pins that are pinned there will be seen by many depending on the following of that board. You want to join boards that have a good number of re-shares and followers!

To find your related niche group board i think PinGroupie  is one of the best tool to use! use it to freely search for group boards and follow the instructions that in most of the time found under the description of each group board in order to be accepted and added into the board! I have been able to join over 80 group boards and it’s been amazing so far!

Group boards are going to be the factor of your blog traffic rise! Using Boardbooster and Tailwind to spread your blog pins across this boards will explode your traffic.

Why i started using boardbooster:

  1. Campaigns
The scheduled campaign option seamlessly drips my newest blog content to a plethora of different group boards over the course of 4 days. I like that I am able to choose the time that I want the pin to be sent to each different board. All I have to do is pin to my board called “New Post Campaign” and the content will automatically drip to all relevant group boards.
  2. Looping
This takes your content from the bottom of your boards and brings it up to the top. It ensures that your content is seen by more people since Pinterest’s Smart Feed makes it so you don’t see every pin that your followers are pinning.
