I’ve struggled with horrible acne my entire life, so don’t worry! You are not alone in your path.

This skin care program is based on my personal experience with acne and acne scars, as well as extensive research and consultation with plastic surgeons and doctors.

I didn’t have a positive experience or results with popular OTC treatments like salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or medicine like Differin, so I designed a plant-based line with chemicals that worked for me after consulting.

DAILY A.M. ACNE SCAR SKINCARE ROUTINE:
Cleanse with gentle cleanser ( All Clear Mint Cleanser )
Apply a good quality Vitamin C Serum like the Banish Serum
Apply Sunscreen – The Defender SPF 50
Weekly AM or PM exfoliate 1-3 times a week

1. CLEANSE

A proper cleanser is an absolute must in any face care routine, especially if you have acne-prone skin. Some evidence suggests that washing twice a day is healthier for acne-prone skin than cleansing once a day.

I’ve been washing my skin with Banish All Clear Mint Cleanser. This cleanser appeals to me because it is gentle and contains organic aloe vera leaf, cucumber peel extract, glycerin, grapefruit, chamomile, and other ingredients.

The cleanser contains no sulfates. Many cleansers, shampoos, body washes, and laundry detergents contain sulfate as a foaming and detergent component. This component can be overly drying and stripping on the face, which is why I didn’t want it in the All Clear Mint Cleanser or any of my other cleansers.

Throughly cleanse with a dime sized amount of cleanser for about a minute and rinse off.

You can use the All Clear Mint Cleanser to wash your make up off too, but in the evening we recommend double cleansing

INGREDIENT HIGHLIGHT IN THE ALL CLEAR MINT CLEANSER

Ginger essential oil is a concentrated oil that can be extracted from fresh or dried ginger. This essential oil is suited for usage as a medicine due to its higher content of gingerol and other chemical components. It can also swiftly ease pain, swelling, and other discomfort in joints and other painful areas of the body.

We adore ginger for acne prone skin since it is also effective for reducing inflammatory diseases like acne.

APPLY AN SPF 50 MOISTURIZER – THE DEFENDER SPF 50

Finally, end your morning routine with a sunscreen moisturizer. We recommend The Defender, which has at least SPF 50. Vitamin C administered before sunscreen improves the ultraviolet protection of the sunscreen as well!

Another advantage of the Defender is that it is a mineral sunscreen that will not promote breakouts and is lightweight and non-greasy. Sunscreen is also essential for preventing and reducing acne scars!

AM OR PM EXFOLIATE 1-3 TIMES A WEEK WITH PUMPKIN ENZYME MASQUE

When it comes to acne scars, exfoliation is important. Make sure to exfoliate at least once a week with a chemical exfoliator like the Pumpkin Enzyme Masque. This also contains ginger, vitamin a, and vitamin c to all help with skin turnover to speed up the fading of acne scars.

You may choose to exfoliate less often or more often depending on how your skin responds. Signs you are overexfoliating may be skin sensitivity such as extra burning, redness, or stinging with regular skincare products.

PM SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR ACNE SCARS

1. CLEANSE ( DOUBLE CLEANSE IF WEARING MAKEUP)

You can use the All Clear Mint Cleanser to wash your make up off too, but in the evening we recommend double cleansing

2. USE THE BANISHER TO RESURFACE SKIN 1X A WEEK

If you have textured or pitted acne scars, the Banisher is the most effective treatment. The Banisher is a proprietary microneedling tool with bristles that are 24k gold plated. It generates microchannels on the skin, prompting skin to resurface and new collagen to be produced. The microchannels also improve the absorption of skin care products that are applied later. Always sanitize it before using it, and only use it on freshly cleansed skin.

Redness may develop after using the Banisher, but this is natural and will fade within a couple of hours, and your skin should be shining by the next morning.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP AFTER USING THE BANISHER?

Wait at least 8 hours to heal and recover from the Banisher. It is recommended to use the Banisher once per week and works better as a night time routine.

3. MOISTURIZE BY APPLYING BANISH SERUM OR VITAMIN C CREME

Similar to your morning routine, you’d want to use Vitamin C in the evening as well to help with acne scars! The Banish Serum or Vitamin C Creme is also gentle enough to be used right after the Banisher too.

Be patient and consistent, acne scars can be stubborn and results may take at least a month to show, however some people notice a result within the first week! Don’t get discouraged, we’re here to help.
